The Arturia MicroFreak Vocoder Edition is a limited-edition hybrid synthesizer that enhances the original design with a 16-band vocoder, detachable gooseneck microphone, and a striking white aesthetic with updated graphics. Featuring 14 digital oscillators, including the open-source Plaits engine, it offers paraphonic performance and an extensive sound range. The 25-note touch-plate keyboard has polyphonic aftertouch for expressive playing, while the analog filter delivers both aggressive and smooth tones. The 5 x 7 modulation matrix and sequencer offer dynamic control, and the vocoder adds vocal manipulation. 16-Band Vocoder & Mic

The 16-band vocoder mode replicates the human voice through 16 frequency bands for detailed vocal manipulation. The included detachable gooseneck microphone ensures easy, hands-free vocal control, ideal for creative vocal processing and sound design.

Analog Filter & Performance

The analog state-variable filter offers 12dB/octave resonant low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filters. Combined with polyphonic aftertouch, a 25-note capacitive touch-plate keyboard, and the 5 x 7 modulation matrix, musicians can explore expressive, dynamic performances with fluid control.

Advanced Oscillators & Plaits Engine

The MicroFreak Vocoder features 14 digital oscillators, including the open-source Plaits engine by Mutable Instruments. This offers a wide range of sounds from wavetable synthesis to granular processing, making it perfect for creating both classic and cutting-edge tones.
