The PLX-1000's robust die-cast zinc chassis, heavy in mass, effectively quells resonance and vibrations. Bolstering the lower part of the unit is an 8mm-thick resin reinforcement, accompanied by a 9mm-thick layer of vibration-damping material at its base. Additionally, the tonearm, insulated with rubber, mitigates howling effects, while damping parts integrated with rubber and springs absorb extraneous vibrations.
The PLX-1000 offers an extensive tempo adjustment range, spanning from ±8% and ±16% to an impressive ±50%, providing users with diverse pitch speed options. Conveniently situated next to the tempo slider, a "RESET" button promptly restores the rotation speed to ±0%.
